Position:
Moonwalk Biosciences is recruiting a Data/Bioinformatics scientist. As a key member of our R&D team, you will assist with the organization and execution of the Moonwalk Platform for controlled cellular reprogramming.
Responsibilities:
- Work within the R&D team to design and analyze high dimensional genomic datasets derived from epigenetic reprogramming experiments
- Curate and combine external and internal genomics datasets
- Develop machine learning and statistical modeling algorithms for biomarker and target discovery
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. / M.S. / PhD with 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in one or more languages Python, R, C/C++, Go, Rust or equivalent
- Experience with analysis of high dimensional genomics datasets
- Experience with development of machine learning and statistical modeling algorithms
- Strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to excel in a team-first, supportive work environment, and clearly articulate ideas, problems, and solutions
- Ability to thrive in early stage technology development with demanding schedules and deliverables
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Track record of high impact publications
- Experience with analysis of methylation, CHIP-seq, RNA-seq, or high throughput single cell sequencing datasets
- Familiar with development of bioinformatics pipeline for analysis of next generation sequencing datasets
- Experience with cloud computing environments for data analysis and pipeline development
